Reverend Chuck Holmgren shared his passion for thoughtful Christian dialogue and progressive Christian values throughout his ministry. After retiring, he and Carolyn moved to Grand Junction where he brought his passion to the classes he taught at First Congregational UCC. Chuck had a knack for engaging people from a diversity of backgrounds, demonstrating through his hospitality and compassion the Christian Gospel he loved and lived each day. Carolyn and Chuck worked to promote a just world for all, each of them devoting time and energy to share God's love with everyone. This lectureship is named in Carolyn and Chuck's honor, and is inspired by their passion for a world filled with God's justice and love. Rev. Chuck Holmgren passed away in 2016. Carolyn remains active in the church and sits on the Lectureship planning team.
